Why Programming Is Fun

David Intersimone, with 37 years under his belt, lists out the reasons why he thinks programming is fun.
I’m by no means even close to what I consider a seasoned programmer, but I can related to every reason listed.

I could add a couple more, I think.
I have always loved to ‘build’ things, and this is a great ‘building’ tool.
Related to that is the fantastic medium that it offers. I tried doing soap sculpture as a teen, but one slip of a sharp knife and you have lost the leg of that turtle you were fashioning. With a PC, if I get it wrong the first time, I can keep working until it is perfect! How many art forms allow you to do that?
