H.R. Pufnstuf - What the??

This post isn’t so much funny as it is scary. My grandparents had a puzzle with this odd group of characters on it. I think they were on a rocket or a wacky car or something, I really don’t remember. All I remember is some big thing with a huge head and black eyes like it just got out of a back-alley fight. That thing frightened me and I didn’t like playing with that puzzle, but every so often it would be thrust upon me for the sake of childhood enjoyment.
I’ve since learned they were from a show called “H.R. Pufnstuf” and I’ve got to wonder - what were the show’s creators thinking?? I’ve done a little research, and there are quite a few theories out there that the directors were smoking the wacky tobaccy. Besides the psychedelic visuals, just stop and think about the name of the show. Please, for the love of all that’s good, don’t do drugs, especially if you create kids shows.

The Nintendo Revolution: An Emulator?

The Revolution will be backward-compatible with games created for the GameCube, and fans will also be able to download games from earlier consoles, the company said.
Wow, it will be an emulator of older systems. Excite Bike - here I come!

Ok, granted I have no real love for my GameCube’s controller (all hail the X-Box controller), but is this progress? It just doesn’t look like it’d feel that natural to me, and remember, I own a GameCube..
