“No Time! There’s never any time! I don’t have time to study! I’ll never get into Stanford!..I’m so excited…I’m so excited…I’m so….scared!”

If you know where that comes from, you are a child of the 80’s.

Cruel.

On the drive here I had something to say that was really good about God and how no matter who we are or what we end up thinking about ourselves, or how we don’t deserve anything, His plan still prevails. I love that line on Casting Crown’s song, “Who am I” that says, “You’ve told me who I am - I am yours.” This summer I was/am going through a bit of an identity crisis, as some of my psychology friends would say, and its always good to remember that.

So anyway! That’s it in a nutshell. Apparently the internet is supposed to work at the new home, so I can actually post there too!

Oh, so last night, I had picked up Ivy and she came over to study. We left at around 12 to go back to her house, and I started getting freaked out because when its dark and quiet, you can hear the trees down below the house shifting and creaking in the wind. So, basically, it reminded me of bad dreams I had as a little girl - you all remember - the one when I was chased by a dancing telephone pole. Yeah, that one. And when I saw a face in a tree in Inman (no that was not a dream). So, I got really scared and sped out of the driveway. When I got back, it was all dark and quiet, and I ran up to the front door and the door was locked! My own parents were forcing me to walk down toward the dark, menacing forest to get in the back door. So, I had to go down the hill in the dark, and all the shadows were moving, and it was horrible. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Okay, today we’re going to have a vote about what I should do next year, after graduating from UNO (or so I think):

A. Go to graduate school here at UNO
B. Move to Africa and work with missionary groups, or something similar
C. Join the Peace Corps
D. Stay around Blair/Omaha and work, saving up some money for who knows what
E. Go to graduate school in New Zealand
F. Take off and travel around Europe for a month or so
G. Live with mom and dad forever
H. Work odd jobs at entry level positions for several years

Okay! That’s all I can think of for now. You can choose more than one, but let me know what your #1 pick is. You may decide my future, so just think before you vote.

Back to another day of classes, work, and driving…
