Still in Berlin
August11
Oh, I’m missing camp, but that’s okay. It’s a good problem to have. I’m in Berlin and really having a great time, just kind of relaxing, taking nice long walks, last night jesse & I took one to a park and it was a perfect night, beautiful moon, it had rained earlier so it was fresh and smelled wonderful. It’s nice to be walking through a park in Berlin late at night. About 3 years ago I would have probably gone crazy with excitement if you would have told me that, but now it’s somehow all normal. A wonderful normal, though.
Today we’re going to chill and babysit Joshua, and then tomorrow is some nice clothes shopping and then to dortmund on sunday!
I’m not ready to go home!
Hi Jodi, you don’t know me, but I work at the Kodiak Baptist Mission with Kelli Foreman. She mentioned you because I am interested in Germany and hearing about other peoples’ experiences there, especially from a Christian standpoint. You see, my father is from Germany, and I have traveled there several times myself, so I found your pages on your trip there quite interesting. Did you meet many Christians? How did they respond to your testimony? Anyway, thanks for your time and keep up your good work. Oh, why did Polizei Berlin interview you? My family and I were in East Berlin in 1985 before the wall came down, and my dad was interviewed by East German police; that was kind of scary. They thought he was an American spy!
Alles gute!
